林晚卿是江湖镖局的新任总镖头，为赚钱完成师傅重振镖局的遗愿，她被黑心牙婆忽悠签订了契约，以侍卫的身份混入大理寺刺杀大理寺卿苏陌忆。然而她的身份就被心思缜密的苏陌忆看穿。在这段”她演戏”、“他装傻”的相处中，两人对彼此萌生了情愫。苏陌忆根据种种迹象推断出幕后黑手梁王的真正目的，于是设计假死，与林晚卿一起假扮夫妻，偷偷潜入敌方内部寻找证据。最终，他们成功找到证据阻止了梁王的谋反大计，并且“假戏真做”，收获了至死不渝的爱情。
